Children’s Ministry
Our SonShine Park Volunteers are the “BEST!”
Bringing children to Christ Encouraging children to follow Jesus Showing God’s Love Teaching God’s Word
SONSHINE PARK(Elementary)
At Sonshine Park our kids are active participants in learning who God is, developing a real relationship with Jesus, and learning to follow him. If you drop in our class, you will rarely see your child just sitting as someone talks to them. What you will see is your child learning while he act out a part in a drama or becomes a quiz show contestant. Pr she may be competing with her team mates in a game or making a craft. You will probably see him discussing questions or praying in a small group. Whatever the activity, you can be sure your child will be having fun while learning about God’s great love for us and how to follow Him! Our elementary children begin in the worship service with their parents and then are dismissed to class prior to the sermon time.
SONSHINE PLAYGROUND (K4-K5) & SONSHINE PLAYHOUSE (2 & 3′s)
BEYOND SONSHINE PARK
Sunday morning is our time to focus on worshiping God and growing in Him. While worship is the most important thing we do, it is not all we do. Our children’s ministry also includes special activities during the year, including Kids’ night out (Summer), Easter celebration, “Light of the World” night, Christmas Nativity pageant, discipleship classes, and special family events. These opportunities aim to build relationships with other Christian friends and caring adults, encourage living out our faith, strengthen families, and encourage children to bring friends to church activities. Oh yeah, we have lots of fun too!
Security at SonShine Park
Children in all classes are signed in by parents and are only released to their parents. Parents of children age 0 through kindergarten age are given numbered security tags which must be turned in to pick up your child. Your number will appear on the worship screen if your child needs you during the service. Our lead teachers are well trained and committed to teaching on a monthly rotation in order to provide continuity and opportunities to develop relationships.
